After opening a new practice rink (but not practicing in it yet) and waving Rico Fata, the Caps return home tonight after a four game western road trip tonight to face the Atlanta Thrashers. The Thrashers are coming off of a 5-2 loss at home to the Canes on Wednesday night. The Caps are playing their first game since Monday's 4-2 win in Calgary and are playing the first game on back-to-game nights while opening up another three games in four nights stretch.

What Do I Expect Tonight?:

With Atlanta going to the backup goalie and the Caps having a couple of days off, the stars should be aligned for a Caps win tonight. It was reported in the (Com)Post yesterday (no longer available on-line) that Steve Eminger is scheduled to be scratched again tonight. There should not be any jet lag nor rink rust, so the Caps should be able to come out strong tonight against a demoralized Thrashers team.
