Final Thoughts:

Not only did we play poorly, but now I see Kolzig hurt himself. Well, that's good news for Brent Johnson who most people figured to start tonight anyway. Let's hope though that Kolzig isn't hurt too long. 9 down 73 to go.

Caps Game #10, Road Game #5, NHL Game #158

Tonight the Caps limp into Edmonton, a place where they haven't won in over 10 years now. The Caps are finishing up a three games in four nights on the road and are playing on back-to-back nights. The Oilers are coming off of back-to-back 6-2 losses at Anaheim and Phoenix and are also playing their third game in four nights. The problem for the Caps is, the Oilers are a perfect 5-0 at home this season.

What Do I Expect Tonight?:

Hopefully a better performance that what we saw last night. The Caps couldn't have played much worse than they did. The Oilers are tough to beat at home and considering the troubles that the Caps have had on the road recently and their record in Edmonton (10-15-4), I don't like their chances, even if they have a good game. Hopefully, there won't be any "Anti-War" protests clogging up the streets of Edmonton today. But I digress....

Editorial Note For The Dozen Readers of This Blog:

Due to work commitments, I will not be able to watch all of tonight's game. Therefore there will be no Post-Mortem for tonight's game. (Hey, if the (Com)Post and Times can get away with not covering all of this team's games, so can I. Nobody is paying me to do this.)
