Final Thoughts:

With the quotes in the Times today, we now see that the Caps are serious about winning games and making the playoffs this season. That is a good thing that they want to back up their words and since that is the case; they're right that last night's loss is inexcusable. Should they be in competition for a playoff spot at the end of the season, the lost point last night can very well end up looming large. But if anything, this shows just how far the Caps have to go in order to be a real contender for a playoff spot. Lofty team goals aside, it is easy to forget that this team is still young and has a lot of maturing left to do. 4 down, 78 to go.
