Signs of a Shake-Up

The Caps have recalled Chris Bourque from Hershey and the son of Ray Bourque is expected to make his NHL debut tonight in Atlanta. No word yet on which (if any) of the Three Injured Amigos; Captain Chris Clark, Tom Poti, and Alexander Semin were sent to the IR to make room on the roster for Bourque.

I would also expect Brian Sutherby to be scratched tonight in order to make room in the lineup for Bourque on the fourth line. Sutherby and Bourque play a similar style though the Caps could instead sit Tomas Fleischmann who has yet to find his niche on the team.

With the current skid showing little end and the return of the Three Injured Amigos uncertain, it was clear that the lineup was going to be changed at some point. Whether or not Bourque is the answer they're looking for remains to be seen, but in the interim he'll provide energy to the lineup which is never a bad thing.
