Mellon Arena, Pittsburgh, PA. 1:05 pm. Washington TV: Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. Radio: WTEM 980-AM. Pittsburgh TV: Fox Sportsnet Pittsburgh. Radio: WXDX 105.9-FM. NHL Center Ice: Fox Sportsnet Pittsburgh feed.

Today the Caps start a set of back-to-back matinees by finishing off their road trip in Pittsburgh. The Penguin Scum have been on a roll lately, winning five in a row with two of those five coming in a gimmick. Their only loss in the last eight games was a gimmick loss itself as the Penguin Scum have been awarded points in 8 straight games.

Open Source Intelligence:

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Featuring tomorrow's Penguin Scum-Canadiens return bout in Montreal, on the move, finally more than a passing mention about today's game. Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: More complaints about those thug Canadiens, the Canadian Diving Team Captain, Secondary Assist Cindy Crosby, adapting to physical play, trade winds blowing, Recchi on a roll, mandatory rest (finally a mention about today's opponent), scouting the Capitals. What Do I Expect Today?:

Could the Penguin Scum be looking ahead to tomorrow's return bout in Montreal with the Canadiens? If so, the Caps could very well catch them asleep and pick up their first win in Pittsburgh since December 3rd, 2002. The last time these two teams met in December, the Caps blew a 4-0 second period lead to lose in a gimmick. However, the Penguin Scum looked downright pathetic in that game. Considering all the whining and crying over Thursday night that the Penguin Scum are doing, the Caps should send Mr. Donald Brashear to "escort" the Canadian Diving Team Captain, Secondary Assist Cindy Crosby, around the ice today. Of course, the last time we tried that we did it to Jagr and didn't fare too well on the scoreboard.
