Caps @ Ning 11-28-2006 Post-Mortem

This won't be a full-fledged Post-Mortem as my building, chores (my office job likes it when I come to work in clean clothes, they're funny like that...), and Maryland doing their part in the Annual ACC Beatdown of the Big "Ten" on the Basketball Court conspired to have me only watch a little over a third of the Caps 5-2 victory over the Ning.

A few thoughts though on the end of the six game losing streak:
  • Maybe we shouldn't complain about the high number of shots being allowed...
  • It is good to see Alexander Semin back on the ice and scoresheet just like it is nice to see more than one other player not nicknamed A.O. scoring goals.
  • Why did Tortorella pull Holmqvist after giving up three goals? None of the three looked particularly bad except for the Shorty that Boyd Gordon scored.

Either way, it is nice to have a win again, of course this doesn't solve all of the problems but it does demonstrate the importance of the skill players on this team.

It has been... A TWO POINT NIGHT!
