The NHL opened up this can of worms and better have some good lawyers to get them out of it. It will be interesting to say the least to watch the legal wrangling on this one. The suit was filed in New York but the Flames and Oilers aren't U.S. teams and may not be subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. court system.

Either way, the ugliness of the legal process begins and it won't get much prettier once Malkin makes his much ballyhooed debut tomorrow night.
