Caps vs. Thrashers 2-26-2009 Wrap Up
The Local Yokels:
(Com)Post. Times: better recovery, Caps +. Caps.com.
The Neutral Observers:
NHL.com AP Wire.
The Other Side:
Atlanta Journal-Constitution: overpowered, notes.
We don't often listen to the Post-Game show on the radio coming home from games but we do find it interesting that on the show last night they said that Bruce Boudreau had announced that Michal Neuvirth would start Saturday in Boston. None of the print articles mentioned that and as a matter of fact Katie Carrera's notes on Tarik's (Com)Post blog and Corey Masisak in his Times blog both specifically mention Boudreau stating that Jose "Alvin, Simon," Theodore will start tomorrow afternoon in Boston, not Neuvirth. Throw in that just about every time we listen to the show one of the hosts butchers something basic about the rules (when they aren't repelling the psychotic Jeff "Sergeant" Schultz bashers) and now you know why we rarely bother listening to that show. We if the Caps odds of catching Boston are slim, Boudreau is making the right move by keeping the rookie on the bench.
62 down, 20 to go.
