Caps vs. Bruins 4-11-2010 Post-Mortem
Sorry folks, we had some family business to attend to... Onto the Battle Damage Assessment...
THE GOOD:
- Alexander "Slappy" Semin notched his 40th goal of the year.
- The regular season is finally over and no hint of major injuries heading into the Post-Season.
- In his last start before the Post-Season, Semyon "The Saviour" Varlamov did not have a strong outing. Considering the first round opponent, this could be a huge problem.
- Jason Chimera got hit with a bogus goaltender interference penalty early in the game (he was pushed into Tim Thomas) and then skated around with the wrong kind of chip on his shoulder and a big fat target on his back for the rest of the game. He's got to keep his composure from here on out if he wants to be effective.
- The game was decided by a gimmick.
- Bruce Boudreau showed no interest in trying to win the gimmick.
