Final Thoughts:
About R.J. Umberger's comments, A. we find it rather interesting that he's able to make that pronouncement after just two games against the Caps. We don't have to beat the entire Western Conference, just one team four times in seven games. Furthermore we don't have to overmatch them in order to do it. B. Bruce Boudreau is aware of the problems with his forwards. After, it is the same issue that has cropped up all year long but the Caps have shown that they can bear down when needed after all, C. That didn't work out too well for the Blue Jackets did it? After Columbus got with in one, the Caps only allowed two more shots on goal. D. Spoken like a loser who will be setting up his tee-time at this point next week.
As for the Caps, the Sharks are now forced into perfection, they must win every single game for the remainder of the season while the Caps must lost every remaining game in regulation. The first test for the Sharks comes tonight in Colorado.
78 down 4 to go.
