This is so late because we've been lazy today but we should note that the magic numbers above do not take into account the results of today's games.  Because of the Ning's loss to the Rangers already today, the Caps Magic Number for the playoff spot is now 15 with the Ning and Southeast Division Title is now 16 with the Thrashers.

And we have no faith that the NHL will suspend Cam Janssen for any length of time for his hit on Matt "Omar" Bradley.
