It was April 13, 1997, the Caps had long been eliminated from the playoffs and were in Loserville..er...Buffalo playing the Sabres to finish out the season for both teams. The Sabres were making the playoffs as the #2 seed that year and the game had no effect on their positioning. Jaroslav "Yogi" Svejkovsky scored the first four of his 23 goals in the NHL that night in an 8-3 Caps win. Loserville...er...Buffalo went onto to the playoffs that year and defeated the Ottawa Senators before falling to Philadelphia in the second round. If the minimum goal for this team is reaching the second round, there's nothing that says it cannot be done because of last night's game.
