The Local Yokels:
(Com)Post: tripped, done for now, history repeated, arrival. Times: now its over, coming attraction, operational pause, confidence builder, fast healing, in the crowd, to do list.
The Neutral Observers:
NHL.com AP Wire. NHL.com Series Page. TSN.ca Series Page. ESPN NHL Playoffs page.
The Other Side:
Philadelphia Daily News: happy ride home, odds defied, power player, dream realized, next task. Philadelphia Inquirer: advancing, gut check, excited, big win, big test. Flyers.com.
Final Thoughts:
While we've never been one to subscribe to the "two wrong make a right" theory, you Philadelphia fans in a snit over the Caps fans trashing the ice after last night's hose job better understand that Scott Hartnell was openly taunting the Caps fans after the game was over. Your franchise certainly did not grab the moral high ground with that one. And if you think my complaining about last night's officiating was out of line, tomorrow morning's post will do nothing but reinforce why the NHL is nothing but a joke of a professional sports league.
Finally, in the coming days and weeks, we'll wrap things up for this season and issue our player and organizational grades for this past season including the playoffs. And speaking of the playoffs, we still don't care and won't be following them very closely from here on out.
89 played, the next 82 to be announced in July.
