Final Thoughts:
Funny isn't it how that Scumbag Dani Briere noted the Caps whining about the officiating and "doesn't want to blame the refs" along with Flyers Head Coach John Stevens noting that "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" but both seem rather upset over the Scottie Upshall Goaltender Interference call that was as bogus as the Viktor Kozlov Goaltender Interference calls in Game 4. They also say nothing about the phantom hold called on Sergei (#3) Fedorov which allowed them back into the game yesterday and the unprecedented review of the tape that allowed the refs to put time back onto the game clock and force Federov back into the penalty box. Furthermore, Dani had the biggest temper tantrum on the ice of all the Flyers (who had quite a few) yesterday. When both teams are playing a rough and tumble style and make no bones about their desire to crash the net; the officials cannot help but to be on the lookout for those kinds of calls. Our only wish is that they would look for more closely for the moving picks which is a staple of the Flyers offensive system. Those are penalties too.
2 down, 2 to go.
