Final Thoughts:
First of all folks, we dozed off during the first intermission and awoke to a 4-0 lead in the second period which was nice and why there wasn't a Post-Mortem. But for all the hemming and hawing over "is A.O. a dirty player," look at what David Koci went out and did last night. That is the mark of a dirty player and when you see A.O. doing stuff like that, let us know. And BTW, that was not a well officiated game last night either. We couldn't figure out what the standard was for making a call and are somewhat surprised that Koci got ejected for his hit on Mike "BEAM ME UP" Green. That could have been the reason why Koci went and ran Green the way he did because Brad Watson and Gord Dwyer hadn't bothered to call anything on the Avalanche before that hit occurred. Unmentioned in any of the stories from last night but very important, is that four of the six Caps goals came from players on the third and fourth lines. Colorado though played like a very young team facing their first real test against a quality opponent. We think they would like to have this game back.
34 down, 48 to go.
